PB and microcontroller comms w/USB
Hi All,
I've been away for years, and never did anything with PB in the area I now need.
I need to mock-up some datalogging/comms apps with a remote microcontroller via USB.
A number of folks have used VB as their language of choice, and are so recommending it.
I'm pretty sure PB has a decent ...

Re: The PureBasic Doomsday Quotes
1. Years and years ago I probably posted something about PB not being picked up by the Big Boys unless it did this or that. In the end, I think I was right, and wrong. Its true PB will not be picked up by the Big Boys, but that primarily due to a variety of factors which include the fact that PB is ...

PureBasic Contract Programmer wanted
Hi All,
I have a friend who needs some custom programming done that I really don't have time, or frankly the skill for. Hopefully this isn't running afoul forum TOC's.
This is going to involve writing some middle-ware that works on Excel data exported from an inventory type app, invoice creation ...

I've been doing a lot of research lately on some different languages I'm interested in, like Python, Free Pascal, Clean, etc.
This link keeps coming up as a reference from many forums and posters.

Linux distro suggestion?
Hi All,
Looking for a Linux distro to run in VirtualBox for interoperability testing.
I've played with openSUSE and Ubuntu, and they are quite nice. However a number of people I know are suggesting I look into Fedora or CentOS, as knowledge gained there will be useful add-on to current career in ...

BTW, you may just want to take a look at Python.
Its free, I believe it has a localized version, and most importantly for beginners, they can make simple windows GUI programs right from the start.

PureBasic.com, PB4, time for a Gallery on the main webpage?
Just curious. Even though PB4 is an RC/Beta, might it be a good idea to consider upgrading the Screenshots page to show the new stuff? Maybe consider adding a Gallery, a la BB?
Might not be quite the time yet, but I think it would be an excellent opportunity to introduce the Public to PureBasic ...
