Joining 3d maps

Post by Jon »

Ok I am new to 3d so bear with me ;)

1st Question :

I have a simple 3d terrain that I can move around (YAY)
SO how can I join another so that it is seamless when moving off the edge of one and into another? Do I just design a HUGE map and use visual trickery :(

2nd Question :

When I move up a hill I can see under the texture!? Is it something I am doing wrong, or should I just fiddle with the MoveCamera() command?

Cheers, Jon

you could do it so when you come to a certain part of the map u have a bit that goes into a loading screen then delete the old terrain and load the new one a bit like a portal thats wot my team use for the game were working on you get some nice effects to as you can have highly detailed
maps but keep them small to keep your frame rate up below is a few shots of our game.

btw it aint in Pure Basic But it is done the same way
