Anyone know the 3D engine Truevision 3D?

Post by AngelSoul »

It was mainly developed for VB6 and i must say i was really impressed! I'd like to port it to PB but i don't know much about COM/Activex.

It is definitely possible to wrap those functions since they did it for C++ and this engine is pretty solid even within the VB IDE and another good thing, you can actually display meshes which the OGRE engine doesn't seem to do so.

I don't know much about 3D yet but as far as i can see, OGRE has a serious compatibility issue since the TERRAIN.PB does not run properly on one of my computers.

Anyway here's the link:

I've programmed in Truvevision many months ago. It is very easy to use. The next version will be programmed completely in vc++. I would recommend this one, although some commands are still very buggy, I wouldn't use it professionally yet.

Yep, was mentioned before on these forums, I think. Anyways, I still have the open source versions somewhere on my HD.
