Do i now take PureBasic's speed for granted?

Post by Kale »

This is an excerpt from the latest DarkBasicPro newletter regarding a new application developed using DBPro:
Q: How many lines of code are in the final program?
A: "The main program has just over 17,000 lines of code, but I built many tools to help with development, so you can easily double that. The program was taking 10 minutes to compile each time towards the end of the project :)"
Holy Jamoly!!! 8O 10 minutes to compile??? Man that must be murder debugging that app. :)

Only 17,000 lines? That is pretty tiny when you think about it! kBilling is easy triple that amount of code and takes a little under 4 seconds to compile a debug copy :-)
