Something to think about for 2017!

(This has more to do with PureBasic than it does with peanut butter, so I took the liberty to post it here.)

As for me "nothing", like an original story too ^^ Should not be a difference between women or man if just counting a brain abilities. But they can be because of "prejudices" about females, etc, some of girls I know are using male accounts to avoid such communication problems, happening if others knowing their real sex (not only in programming).

1. It has nothing to do with PureBasic.
2. It is not fake news, and there were no such admission.
3. It means that you should check your sources. (orrazz.com? )

Thomas Jefferson died with massive debt and forgot to will what he had to his family and it was all auctioned off to wealthy people for very little money. His most famous work was conflicting even when he published it do to slavery, capitalism-everything, and the necessity of commerce and foreign-trade not to mention how all those turn republics in to plutocracies..

Those wise quotes are always very Confucius-like and never have any real advice or wisdom just single-state advice which has all the likelihood to be irrelevant.

I'd like to hear one from Gates, Buffet, or Helu based on economics and sociology, or Jello Biafra on philosophy.. People with proven experience and not perspective from failure that might be able to save you from their mistakes..

On Topic: Whether true or not arguing with it is a great way to pull in SJWs to your site.. I don't think sex matters for any skill.. Productivity does and that's bigger than individuals in these times of complexity.. Things take task-division now not just doing it very well..

not enough new programmers know of Ada, she was before her time! too much talk of Charles Babbage not enough of Ada :P

Sample: A typical female programmer from the 1840's (taken from a sample set of 1 available at the time):
Image
In the small device she is holding consists a caffeinated beverage.

Here's a painting of her playing piano, but if you close your eyes and squint she's clearly hitting up the soon-to-be-QWERTY. Note the impeccable back posture.

It's neither dogma nor doctrine, for heaven's sake. It's merely a quote.

No reason to get your panties in a twist.

That's because she merely transcribed his work. Moreover, she never programmed a single line of code; just theorised.

I'm not angry I was just pointing out how they aren't really good for showing how the other person is wrong or how you're more wise.. That's how they are almost always used..

If you had only seen the people I've heard use "Stupid is as stupid does" to other people. Especially the ones I've had to save by giving/"loaning" them money for bills in most cases where they made more than me from a job..

Just quipping myself. Believe it or not, I've been on both sides of that unfortunate fence; especially with my wonderful disposition.

Here's hoping that 2017 will bring better tidings for us all. :D

Ok, these rich or successful people could be considered as "experimented", but are they wise ?

Where are you quoting "experimented" from?

Maybe we should ask a person living on the streets of New York City what mentality typically works in negotiations?

If we're going to dive in to the currency-is-evil thing, then just let me know where I can get the free stuff.. I won't bother pointing out all the ways the people who typically 'go there' will socially discriminate against people who make $1,000 or 1,000€ less than them..

A Mac Pro(deca core) for free because capitalism is evil? Hurry with the link before the socialism turns to communism or a republic..

Sorry for my poor english, experienced is the right adjective for "People with proven experience", isn't it ?
tj1010 wrote:Maybe we should ask a person living on the streets of New York City what mentality typically works in negotiations?
Why not, it depends on what purpose you follow in life. I know good stories about beggars, some who were rich and became poor, some who were poor and became rich (good traders somehow), some who were rich to be poor, some who were poor to be rich, some who gets rich to be poor, some who gets poor to be rich. Surely, you could be happier to be rich, especially in good health, that money can't guarantee.
tj1010 wrote:If we're going to dive in to the currency-is-evil thing, then just let me know where I can get the free stuff..
Maybe you aren't conscious about what is free. Let's start with something common : firefighters are working for free. Enlarge : police is free. In fact, all whole countries (not especially services) are free. At this point, you say : false, it costs money, we pay taxes ! It's not exactly true. It costs energy, in form of work and goods. Before money was invented, you get social help from the others to fight disease, to help construct your house, to eat. This is work. And you get goods from ... Nature. Everything that you get from nature is free. Now, add hundred of years of "progress", and it's right that a lot of theses things are not "free" anymore. Especially things that are really complicated, like computers, vaccines, exotic foods... Are they really important ? Sure, some of them. Maybe less than a mother's love, but they could be useful anyway.
tj1010 wrote:I won't bother pointing out all the ways the people who typically 'go there' will socially discriminate against people who make $1,000 or 1,000€ less than them..
Well... I only know one or two, and they're not really friends. They certainly have a lot to learn from the people "making" less.

There's a lot of terms handled like toys that aren't. Capitalism. Evil. Socialism. Communism. Republic. Thousand years of human thinking, debates, fights, progress, wars, achievements and climb-down. One side of the balance. In the other side, what ? A computer. That's what is wrong with capitalism. It overestimates some not really useful things, underestimate some others. To achieve this, it handles common vices, like envy. What is really important ?
