HardDisk buffer - What are your experiences?

yes, 8 mb perform better, especially in a single drive config with a swap file in use

if you have more than one drive (not partition: drive) and properly spread your os, applications and swap file things get far less noticable (it made perhaps a 2..5% difference on my athlon xp)
