Thanks for the compliments, I'm glad my side project I've been working (for way too long) is moderately entertaining! I consider it my big, drawn out practice project to get back into game making...
You can press TAB to view the framerate in the game.
What OS? I get 60 FPS on most Windows setups from XP to 7, and on Mac I get 30-60 FPS depending on how old it was. I could send you an OpenGL compiled version to try but on almost every computer I've tried it was slower...gnasen wrote:you have done a very great job, impressive!
I only have a single problem on my laptop, the performance sometimes drops down to very few FPS. Any Idea what it could be?

I use Win7 on my laptop and the frames are mostly at 60fps. However sometimes they drop down to 20fps and below. I will have a further look on it if it happens at special situations. If you want to debug on my machine, PM me.

Yes it's pretty cool that it's featured on there! I wish I knew more French to understand it better
I got a lot of traffic and emails (and some sales) from France this week, so I asked one of the emailers where he heard about it, and he showed me jeuxvideo.com last night, 44000 views now, that's pretty huge to me!
I plan to release another small update when PB 5.10 is finalized (but don't rush, I want it as good as possible!
)
Also I started a brand new game this week... it will be much smaller in scope but more polished (nice graphics, more playtesting, etc)... definitely a puzzler and not a platformer... gotta prototype it first and make sure it's actually fun
Thanks for the compliments!

Hi Ryan !
I'm french and knew your game through jeuxvideo.com from the video that you saw had much success.
I think you can thank at0mium : the guy who made the video and brought many french players on nugget
http://www.youtube.com/user/at0mium this is his channel
I've also come to notify you I just made a walkthrough for people who might be blocked somewhere !

I think there's a secret ending (with the "?" door) but haven't found how to get it yet. I'll soon uncover all of nugget's secrets mwahaha

And that is the whole point - it doesn't matter if you are the best source code writer in the universe, the product must be fit for perposegotta prototype it first and make sure it's actually fun

@ModInstaller -- That's awesome! No really, that made my day, I've never made a game worthy of a speedrun video before
And you did it very fast too, that's about as fast as I can beat it... You got through some parts in better ways than I do... but I get through some better than you do

kenmo,
Nugget is the first game programmed with PB which was mentioned in a short notice in Germany's most respected computer magazine c't (1/2013 page 178). I have tried to translate it:
