? They solve two non-existing problems in a very expensive way. One, modern train wheels
can sustain the same speed at a much lower cost, two, energy loss at high speed is due to
aerodynamics, not the wheels.

Same thing with laser weapons. They need an expensive, heavy energy source that can at
best deliver a fraction of the energy military grade explosives can deliver at a MUCH lower
cost, weight and simplicity.

And, a laser cannot hurt a reflective, spinning ballistic missile, for example..

I think these laser programs is just a means for the military industry to make money from
stupid taxpayers.
