New release v1.1
Windows Xp sp3 and Vista / Seven should be tested - 32 bit or 64 bit with WOW64
Install: Download Install_cpugraph.exe
zip file: Download MCPUGraph.zip
@DoubleDutch : If you want to try I am curious to know if it works with Seven.
Windows Xp sp2 - 32 bit or 64 bit with WOW64

Re: Multicores CPU Graphic [Final version]
No it doesn't work - a box appears stating the min requirements (it includes Windows seven <- I think you should call it Windows 7 not seven).

Re: Multicores CPU Graphic [Final version]
Hi Jacobus,
your new version works fine for me and the new settings and arrangements are a further improvement.
Bmp and Png are both very sharp whereas Jpeg has a bluish discoloration and is slightly blurred.
Are you planning a small preference file ? On the long run I guess most users would like their color and export settings to be saved. In case you do, I'd recommend a setting for the screenshot (0/1) to open the associated program on shot or not.
One feature I found missing today: 'Clear' (log-list, maybe in combination with clearing the graphic as well ?).
In case you want to protocol a special or several sessions of running programs (etc.) in a row and would like the log-files beeing accordingly corresponding, it would be handy to clear the list from present entries instead of restarting the application (and also loosing your actual settings this way
) or making external notes (indices).
Please take it as suggestion as I can't evaluate how required such a feature would be.
greetings ~ Vera

Re: Multicores CPU Graphic [Final version]
Argh!
This time I've removed the test version. It should start.
In the zip, only for Win xp sp3 or Vista and make a test on Win 7 (32 bit or with WOW64).
Download MCPUGraph.zip
Thank you for your hard to test

Arf... Thanks for reply.
I'll wait until the end of the month for my Win 7 version and see if I can remedy.

Re: Multicores CPU Graphic [Final version]
On my 8-core 6gb win7x64 it starts up, looks great - but about 2 seconds in - the app stops running.

Re: Multicores CPU Graphic [Final version]
Ok. on my:
Dell Precision 490
Dual Quadcore 3.2Ghz Xeons
8 Gb RAM
XP x64 Edition
I installed latest download and it seem to run fine. Over about a 20 minute time span I loaded up enough items to show something on all cores and it seems to run fine.
Outlook 2003
Firefox with 4 tabs, 1 is a video on Hulu
Ultraedit with 10 files open
WinDev 14 with a project open
PureBasic 4.4 B5
PBDev
FireFly 2.99
Quickbooks 2008 Pro
VLC 1.0.1 playing a .MOV file
Adobe Fireworks CS3
Microsoft Virtual PC with a XP sp3 running it
Then bounced around between them for a few minutes.
See below screendump.
I guess I don't understand the 20% number. As you can see, that is the total of the 8 cores. BUT...the highest a single core is being used is 5%.
If I take the 20 and divide it by 8 then shouldn't this number be 2.5% of CPU being use...an average of all 8 cores???

Re: Multicores CPU Graphic [Final version]
Thanks for feedback.
@DoubleDutch: I cannot understand why. Because on my pc with win7 32-bit it works fine. The program is compiled in 32-bit, therefore, must install it in "program files (x 86)" This is perhaps the 64 bit which is not supported. Otherwise do you receive an error message? Do you have time to see cpu values?
@David Martin: Great! it's so good with 8 cores.
See below, the results of taskmanager and the Resource monitor:

20% (processor progressbar) this is not an average but total usage. even with all the programs that you quoted, the result will be rarely 100 %. Need to use an application such as an antivirus program for example in mode analysis and at the same time as the rest to see Mount power usage of the cpuIf I take the 20 and divide it by 8 then shouldn't this number be 2.5% of CPU being use...an average of all 8 cores???
