Well, for a 100k in advance we can discuss the options...

I'll do it for free or optional donation of 10 USD. I am in the middle of writing a game engine anyway: http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtopic.php?t=37647
What is your project about? Tell us all the details. If you haven't bought PureBasic yet we might be able to guide you to something more suitable for your needs. How about Game Maker? http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker

Thankyou.

hamza, like I told you already I am willing to help for free if you like. Just tell me the details of your project and what is it actually you want to do. Reply to this thread, I won't contact you via e-mail. While you're at it have a look at Game Maker, it's designed for people who want to get to writing games quick with easy drag and drop interface. With Game Maker there is no need to learn programming code either so all you need is the graphics and sounds and some common sense.
With PureBasic you can create insanely complex games if you want, but this requires the work of a full year. You can't just pop in graphics and sound and wait for wonders to happen. I use PureBasic to write a game engine for educational purposes. I also will write an essay about programming languages and the details of game programming (mind you, AI or Artificial Intelligence, is MUCH harder to implement than you might think). PureBasic just seemed like the correct choice for this, because it certainly is much easier to adapt to than C or C++ and I do not want to lose time by learning a programming language. However you must understand I come from FORTRAN myself so I have the required base knowledge to get going immediately.
You honestly give the impression like you have never programmed before so maybe PureBasic or any other programming language is not what you want.

I definitely would reply. I'm pretty sure a discount on a large dose of Viagra, as well as some... euh... extension extenders (guaranteed results in two weeks!) plus all the... euh... adulteration you ever want... yeah, all of that for simply replying! Great deal!
(I'm sorry, first post, for crying out loud, and yelling for graphics, just doesn't go down in my 'take this serious' book...)

I developed the magic square game in about 2 hours and had to have Tronds help to streamline it down to 82k (-graphics 18k) I developed my Restaurant POS program in about 1 year with extensive help from people on the forums...
BUT
(and this is a large and hairy but!)
I had to write the code (or attempt to write the code badly) and ask for help getting it to do what I wanted!
Write soemthing.. we all actually help people who try to help themselves! OK mostly all of us!

(Not to sound mean or rude) I have very different ideas of what makes an actual game rather than time killer for the office. A platformer / arcade type or first person shooter takes well beyond 1 year if you're developing it alone. Programming, graphics, sound, beta testing... all very time consuming tasks.Rook Zimbabwe wrote:I developed the magic square game in about 2 hours and had to have Tronds help to streamline it down to 82k (-graphics 18k) I developed my Restaurant POS program in about 1 year with extensive help from people on the forums...

Sure we, or most of us, can help someone who is trying to write something, but it seems the op is wanting to develop a game from scratch with intensive graphics, my guess would be something like a first person shooter, not just a puzzle game. The development of such a game requires immense knowledge in programming in general as well as much skill/experience in the programming language of choice (say PureBasic).
I do not know and can not know how experienced the op is. First thread asking for "help", whatever that means; does he want us to write everything for him, or is there a particular problem he can not overcome, I do not know and given the very little details the op gave, I would bet on the former. Maybe something else might be more suited to the op and I am just saying from experience that Game Maker is a very good first "programming language" to consider for game development. Just have a look at the Game Maker forums and you'll find endless stuff to utilize in your own game.
Unless the op, hamza, says anything more we can only speculate about what he actually wants to do and how experienced he is in this field. My take? Don't drag a new user by force to something that might be much more complex than the user can handle, even if there are people ready to help.
