DX 10.1 and 11 brings nothing new for PB sprite engine. DX7 to DX9 was a full change (from 2D to 3D).

DX 10.1 and 11 brings nothing new for PB sprite engine. DX7 to DX9 was a full change (from 2D to 3D).
Mainly DX 10/11 seem to be platform and compatibility fixes.
