I can't find out whether this has already been dealt with. I remember when the FTP library was first introduced, I read somewhere that if enough requests were made for it to work with Windows servers as well as UNIX, it would be extended.
If this hasn't been done, then I'd like to add my "vote" for it.

Ah, you mean the SERVER side, not the client side!
Well, all I can say is that thus far it worked on every FTP server I tried. Have you actually TRIED it, I mean making your client do some FTP stuff on a Windows SERVER?
