FTP library to work on Windows servers?

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

FTP library to work on Windows servers?

Post by Seymour Clufley »

I can't find out whether this has already been dealt with. I remember when the FTP library was first introduced, I read somewhere that if enough requests were made for it to work with Windows servers as well as UNIX, it would be extended.

If this hasn't been done, then I'd like to add my "vote" for it.

Thanks,
Seymour.

I meant the command ExamineFTPDirectory. The Help file for v4.2 says it is UNIX servers only, but the command will be expanded to work with other server types if the demand is there.

Ah, you mean the SERVER side, not the client side!

Well, all I can say is that thus far it worked on every FTP server I tried. Have you actually TRIED it, I mean making your client do some FTP stuff on a Windows SERVER?
