Up to now I have roughly about 10,000 lines of PB code (thankfully including whitespace and comments 8O ). Over the past week I've been considering switching my development over to using the Torque game engine and C++. My problem is that although I have the bulk of a scenegraph implemented in PB, I have only ended up doing this because the PB-ORGE implemention is somewhat slow to progress. And when I think about it this will always be the case because ORGE is free and open-source and therefore will progress entirely at it's own pace. Then add on the inevitable delay while PB catches up, meaning a PB developer could be looking typically at 6..12 months between each and every update, even bug fixes possibly 8O
I'd really like to continue my scenegraph development in PB as early versions are resulting in a very flexible and fast programs. Oh and incredibly small programs in comparison to *anything* else. Still, I keep berating myself for re-inventing the wheel, not being able to use inbuilt PB features (note ORGE is a dll) and not just getting on with the 3D applications I originally wanted to develop. Arrr, feeling better now I've vented my frustration
