Wise words Fred...I agree that the board could need some speed and yes, it's VERY important that we don't lose any posts. It's just a joy to be able to search through thousands of articles, this huge "knowledgebase", to find the answers I need.

if its proving difficult to swap the posts to the new board its maybe an idea to leaved this board up and running but locked (so no more threads can be started) and let us users slowly migrate the info across when it comes up. Also put a notice on this old board stating its only for archived info and only available for a year and post a link to the new board.
