probably the least annoying antivirus you'll ever find. The fastest engine out there. One of the best heuristic engines, too. And its very lightweight, too. Probably daily updates, too. Runs automatic of course, and not cloggin the system and wanting to tell you that it has updated like many others.
AND no I am not adverticing. Just telling of my experience, and i can tell you that i don't regret a single second that i chose this one

Using AVG internet suite at home (spam, firewall etc too) , Might go to that russian one next, can't remember the name

Okay, I see. I think .. 
So after checking your fixed drives, it relies on checking only for changes. IE, downloads, installs, updates and etc?
If so, is that safe? What happens if the initial scan misses something that was not yet identified and is not easily detected when activated (in memory)?
