IDE title showing currently used PB-version

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

IDE title showing currently used PB-version

Post by #NULL »

i would find it usefull to have an optional IDE setting to display version info
in the window title, like
"PureBasic410b4 - E:\sourcecode..."

I don't see how it could be useful... To find out the version simply go to Help -> About @_@

Even if this feature wouldn't be implemented, you could easily "implement" it yourself with Ressource Hacker:

"And God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the spare rib, which God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man"

I guess that's exactly Null's point: to have that information right under his eyes without having to go fish for it.

Useless for someone using a single, always the same, version of PB all the time, but very useful for anyone switching regularly between different versions of PB...

In such a case, he should configure different color schemes for your the PureBasic installations...

+1 :)

I also still call for the entire filename (with path) to be used in the Recent File
list, too, to differentiate between apps. Just the filename alone is not enough.
