I'm assuming your application bar is located on the bottom of the screen. I have noticed the tray popup menu do not work if the tray is located on the bottom of the desktop. This is where the exit option is located.

Has anyone else noticed this problem using a popup menu with the tray icon?

It might be better to just add a exit option to the main form and stop using the tray popup menu functions. I get a lot of questions about this with another app I have out there.

yes, that's right... maybe then it's a bug in PB?

Opal : Could not load image from the National Geographic web

Post by Pylpa »

Hello
Thanks a lot for Opal, which seems to be a great program, but on windows i've an error with that message : "Could not load image from the National Geographic web site".
Perhups it's because I'm behind a proxy , or because the National Geographic has changed his url of the photo of the day ?

Thank you for your answer.

Nice program, but...

Hi Beach,
Opal looks like a great program! However I am running a ~2000x1500 resolution mode, and the calendar is scrunched up (days of the week and day numbers both). (Pure Problem?) The window doesn't change size so I cannot expand it to fit. Just a heads up on that.

It would also be great to be able to change picture sources. There are "astronomy picture of the day" and "lunar picture of the day" websites out there that could be a interesting addition (perhaps pulling photos randomly from any?)

Anyway, it is a great program, I really like it!
