Wow, sounds like the US is falling behind in the fiber area, there's only one ISP that's really embracing and promoting it and even they don't have it in very many places yet.

Though at those prices, I doubt I'd buy into it, I'm happy with the speeds I get from my DSL connection and the price isn't bad either.

512 / 128kb here. Yes it is slow, but adequate for my needs. Costs $40.00Au / month and has 48GB traffic limit with peak & offpeak times + $3.00 / GB over limit.
Obviously I am not a heavy duty downloader as I have never yet managed to exceed 2GB of my 48GB in any single month :)

For a bit under the last price i gave you, i now get a 10/10 mbit fiber. They upgraded lines and made prices smaller :)
