I have done a fair amount of contract programming. Several projects written in PB. Always interested to entertain ideas.

We are considering setting up something online to handle this.

It will define a project or requirement and provide a means for responding. The responses will remain private and confidential between us and the "respondee"s. A bit like PM-ing. Once logged in, people would see, per project, the project/requirement and only those posts that were theirs or in response to their posts. Those not logged in will see only the project/requirement and no posts.

Eg:
  • Project Identifier: Project Title

Definition of what is wanted/outline of project
    • Responder: A question
      Us: An answer, clarification
      Responder: Some information.
      Us: Reply to above

      [REPLY BUTTON]
Only "Responder" would see the posts above. Another person responding would not, but would see those posts relating to themselves.

This would be per project.

We can make this available to others who might have purebasic projects where they are looking for help, contractors, bids, etc.

Badly explained, but basically a "jobs" lists with the ability to discuss it online, and with you being able to either (a) set up a project or (b) respond to one.

Is anyone else interested in having the ability to set up (as opposed to responding to) projects?

I am interested.
I guess the projects are all office and burocratic focused, am i wrong?

When a project is finished, would be there a maintenace service from us to the "responder"?

Really sorry, but at this point I have no idea what the projects will be.

An example of what I believe will happen is that:
  • (a) A deal will be closed with a client.
    (b) The software will be developed in-house.
    (c) In some cases, parts (where this is possible and can be kept reasonably modular) will be contracted out.
Mostly I think we will be asking for things where we feel that whilst we can do something, it would be better done by someone with real expertise in an area (sound recording, ftp, whatever). The code we would be looking for would almost always be modular, that is, something we could plug into some other app.

But details don't exist as yet.

With regard support, etc, this will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

What I was actually thinking with the previous post was that we intend to put something up online to handle this for us, and it may be useful to others. So if anyone wanted to use it they could, to contract out work of their own.
