Anyone here participating in the beta program and if so, have you tried PB4 on it?
If so, how'd it do? Got any screenshots?
I know it's a stretch but worth a try...

That would be great dracflamloc! I'd appreciate it if you could capture some screenshots as well. I'd be most interested to see what the IDE looks like, what the gadgets (widgets) look like on Vista, etc.dracflamloc wrote:I could give it a shot if I get some free time in the future.

Bummer, it was my understanding that even Win32 (non-.NET) based apps would look "Vista-ish" and not like they do in XP?SFSxOI wrote:... As far as what it looks like, it looks like how ever it looks in winXP, cosmetically there doesn't seem to be any difference for the IDE for PB from what it looks like in winXP, of course it also depends on how you have your system set up too for the apperance...
If you check the 'XP skin support', it links to the comctrl32.dll 6 so it should be no problem. Can anyone with vista beta confirm ?USCode wrote:I assumed the PureBasic gadget library used comctl32 controls? Maybe it's just a settings issue but it would be nice that applications developed with PureBasic don't look "old" by default ...
Based on the screenshot that Nik posted, looks like we're AOK?Fred wrote:If you check the 'XP skin support', it links to the comctrl32.dll 6 so it should be no problem. Can anyone with vista beta confirm ?
