Crashing on exit of a large program now fixed. Thanks.
My first major upgrade now works as it did with 3.94.
I'm now waiting for third party libraries to be updated before I can progress much further. This does raise an issue about upgrades, if a third party library does not get upgraded it becomes necesary to keep some programs running with an earlier revision, which can become very confusing.

Converted my project to PB 4.0 beta2. All is ok. Not so hard to convert.
PureBasic: one of the best programming tools ever ! PB is light, easy, crossplatform, powerfull, fast, extendable, enjoyable and... tasty

See readme.html
What about a beta for Linux?
Think the Order Fred maintains versions is:
Windows - beta -> stable
Linux - beta -> stable
MacOSX - beta -> stable
patience patience .. let us find the bugs in this one first =)

You have to use the old one for now, so copy the help file to the new PureBASIC 4 directory.

Woohoo! The program now runs in 4.0. B1 resulted in nothing where 3.94 worked fine. Guess it's time to convert back to Select/Case!
Does seem like the editor is a bit slower with syntax checking or something Virtually crawls over some of my Dim statements.
Cheers, Jon

In the UK you have to have 'Copyright' spelt out in full and the years in which any work was done to the product.
