Hi @ all
Yes, you have read it correctly... The first executeable file using BlitzMax was created and proudly reported by Mark Sibly! Seems, they want to beat PureBasic in all ways... Portable code for Linux, Windows, Macintosh - Very small Filesizzes, Full API/GUI/2D/3D support... I think BlitzMax will be a real rival for PureBasic and it will come a hard time for Fred! I am still waiting for the first BlitzMax Demo/Final version to see the speed, compiled filesizzes and how stable it will work...
Check it at: http://www.blitzbasic.co.nz/cgi-bin/log ... =marksibly
First BlitzMax exe going! 22:55:35 06-02-2002
Woohoo! - The source code:
output: 12Code: Select all
Function inc( x var ) x=x+1 endfunction Local x,i var=x x=10 inc x inc i Print i Return 0
file-size: 5120 bytes.
Always an exciting moment in compiler writing...
Bye!

Wow... Really small filesize...
Fred, why not add some more free coders to your team, like Danilo - to add/fix some more stuff on PureBasic, before BlitzMax will be released? You have a lot to work if you want most of the features that Blitz, Blitz3D or BlitzMax will have... ;(
