Typical gaming discussion for those above 30.

Is it only me, or has the money in the computer gaming industry gone far beyond my imagination. Are we seeing too many similar games?

In the early days, gaming was a joy in achieving whatever. You saw pixels move and you were thrilled. And then you started to THINK about how to make that better. It ...

Dagcrack was kind enough to start an excellent thread on delta timing, and I don't really want to morph it into a discussion of which hi-res timing method is best. But Microsoft recommends this:

Read somewhere about timers that TimeGetTime() with TimeBeginPeriod(1) is more accurate than QueryPerformanceCounter(). It was something about QueryPerformanceCounter() could tend to leap ahead and rarely give some jerks.

Sounds very Sci-Fi - but i wouldnt really take it that seriously, despite the facts about ww2. Yes the germans were prototyping Jets and Rockets in the end of the war. But this just sound to fantastic, and to this day, we can't do it. But got a nice read out of it in wikepidia.

You see now the benefits of keeping old hardware ? :)

It's very good for development to have several systems, when possible.
lol yea so true, it feels like testing in the darkness without a wonderfull slow PC.

You're moving based on fixed floating point values! This is wrong!. When designing a game, if you really want to make things work smooth on any framerate, you must move by time / tweening and not by framerate.

Hope you get this nailed for the next release ...

K thanks for the feedback everyone.

Looks like I need todo some optimization. It should prefered run at 150fps, guess it uses to much gfx memory on the gradient background.

I'll bump back when there is some new stuff to show.

Hi everyone

I am so excited over PB4, that I've actually got the start of a little game in progress.

It would be nice if peoble could test it so far, can it run on lower end computers?
