Animated GIF support wood be nice.

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

Gif can't be supported, because of copyright issues, sorry.

The copyright has only expired in the USA. It still exists in many other
countrys. But as i've just read, it won't be existing there for long either :D
# The European patent EP0,129,439 covers Germany, France, Britain and Italy and expires on the 18th June 2004.
# The Canadian patent CA1,223,965 expires on the 6th June 2004.
# The Japanese patents 2,123,602 and 2,610,084 expire on the 20th June 2004.
(seen here: http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2003/6/19/35919/4079 )

So... a little longer to wait, then things like this might be possible again.

There are alternatives... a search for animated gif here has some
examples of how to show them.

Yes, PureBasic needs this. Patents on GIF's are all expiring.

This enables animation to PureBasic with minimum programming. Also, for computer generated graphics, GIF compression is excellent.

Problem with GIF viewer in Code Archive version 1.8 is that it uses the webgadget to view a GIF. This is not only in efficient, but does not work on many computers do the ATL.DLL dependency as discussed in another thread.
