New forum areas and sections, add on products.

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

New forum areas and sections, add on products.

Post by Dare2 »

I think it would be quite useful for everyone if there was another area or group on the forum for Third Party PB Add On Products

Within that sections for:
One per, each dedicated to active/mature products.
(Some of the designers for eg, those things with a user base)
  One for the rest
  One for the libs

Sort of like the OS specific area, with a section for each OS.

I think it would give the non-PB products the distinction they deserve and also that it would remove some of the confusions about what is "core" PB and what is not.

Have a look at the first post of the beginner's forum it should provide a good starting point.

Hope this helps.

Bests.

Stan.

Whup!

Thanks for the post, stan.

My communication skills are sadly lacking.

What I was trying to say is that from here on in it would be probably be useful to all concerned if a new grouping of forum or topic areas was set up, and 3rd party products (those more established) had their own boards.

So:

Purebasic
  beginners
  game programming
  etc
  bug reports
OS Specific
  AmigaOS
  Linux
  Windows
Third Party Addons
  guIde name here
  ideGui name here
  Others
General
  Announcement
  Off Topic

I think this would be a service to the the third party products (no longer confined to stickies on the Announcements forum)

And to new users and existing users, clarifying and localising things.

And to PB itself.

Similar to flashkit which is mainly macromedia flash related but has areas for KoolMoves, Swish, etc.

Just a thought
