Oh ya, if this would work, would there be any lack of performance then with using a router?
DSL routing?
DSL routing?
I currently have a dsl modem connected to an ethernet card. If I added another ethernet card to one of my pci slots, would I be able to connect an rj-45 cable to it and then to another comp for dsl sharing? I'm trying to do this without buying a router. Thanks for any information.

I believe it can be done.. I haven't done it myself though, and it might be hard to set up (dunno really)..
I'd suggest to go for a router.. they're not that expensive., and besides, you'd also get a HW gateway...
Also, the computer with the two lan-cards and the modem connected, will probably get some lack in performance.. don't know how much though..

Maybe a little bit, dont know. I didnt see/feel any performance loss.J. Baker wrote:Oh ya, if this would work, would there be any lack of performance
use either interconnect sharing or an external program, yes, it works, performance hit should be minimal / neglegible (hope i spelled that right)
