Also, the sprite3d test actually displayed properly!, all other sprite3d transparent colours show up and are not transparent on my Laptop !?

How did you do it ? or are they not transparent ?

is it 990 on 800x600x32 ( lj2 run in that res )? if yes, it's a little just but it will be working fast with some graphical options not selected...
for the sprite3d, they are transparent.
Thanx for the test guys! and happy new year!!

On my laptop (which is the only thing I have available to test on right now)

2973 @ 800x600x16
1548 @ 1280x1024x32

I'm really rather impressed with how much you had going on onscreen and how smooth it still ran (even though my laptop is a BEAST) :)

BTW: You should test the grafik with the sound-Engine, because the sound-engine can also slowdown the brenchmark

640x480x16 is the first one I tried, Ill try it again in a minute... I got 2978. 58 fps straight through the entire thing. That was amazing. Another reminder of why I use PB for 2D...

edit - 1858 on 1024x768x32... yet seemed the same as earlier. Either way, PBs 2d speed is siiiiiick.

with NVIDIA Riva TNT2 model 64 on w2k

2977 @ 640x480x16
1533 @ 1024x768x32

but except for the "bobs", only a small portion of the screen displays - just enough to see the text and the graphics to that point.

With the bobs entire screen displays.

Lots of flicker in all cases.

I know it is my gear, just thought it may be of interest.
