The most stupid project!!

What is the most stupid project you'll like to make with Purebasic??

First, I wanted to make a basic compiler, but I don't like people all days asking for me to include double numbers, fix bugs, networks commands, etc... ;)

Then, I realise what I want. I like to code a Engine1D, something that nobody did before. The features are:

. Screen modes: 640x1, 800x1, 1024x1, 1280x1, 1600x1.
. Higher resolutions in pro version.
. XBuffer 16 bits.
. Limitless sprites, but multiple of 1.
. 64 millions of Red colour, or 64 millions of Green, or 64 millions of Blue.
. Super extra fast sprite collision in all directions (right and left).
. High level funtion for keyboard control, that is:
__ IsKeyboardPressed?()
. Support of music and sound. The engine can play ALL formats with bitrate 1bps.
. Advanced IA. The engine have the fastest path finder ever coded, with the oh* (C) algoritm.
. Other features you can't imagine, but you'll have to see.

:D

Somebody interested in the project?????? ;)

Very funny  I like it !

I'm in...... when do we start ?

I have a good Idea!

It will support the fastest ever FILE I/O ever seen..... but each file can only be 1 byte ;)

and the filename 1 character 8O

It will ROCK !

I suggest that you release it on 2 flavors:

-Win 3.1
-D.O.S. 6

I'm in. I want to do the splash screen. It'll be an animation, a wild period(".") moving around the splash screen (257x19768, it's the standard, you know) for about two hours and a half at a rate of 0.001 fps. If the user terminates the process using Task Admin, it'll burn the HD to hell. I think the least we can ask our users is to be a bit patient, ain't it?

This is a great project, let's do it!

count me in, but i can write the core engine only on mondays evenings(when returning from pub).
So far, I have written a bunch of snake userlibs to use, for example the 'SnakeFile' ones.access a 1024 byte file under 48 hours. amazing.
This could be a very good project.lets ask some other lazy guys to join.

If you need a composer for 1 track, 1 bps, 1 note at 1 Hertz. You have it, i am a specialist composing that; count on me :D

Maybe you should take a look at Lineality from those cute hacking hamsters over at The Hamster Republic. From the blurb:
Are you sick of all those 3D games on the market? Try Lineality, the worlds first one dimentional action shooter game.
Eek!

The soundtrack

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I made a sample soundtrack with a sheepwhistle that I can upload but I accidentally recorded the bleating of the sheep that turned up when I tested it so it's no longer single track.

Is that okay?

(And can someone please collect all these damned sheep, they are pooping on the shag pile!!)

One question......

We are going to need a good 'Packer' program to get all that into 1 byte ;)

Any offers ?

I have some experience compressing 1 bit files, my best rate was 0,5 bit. It´s enought ?
