Windows 93

Post by jacdelad »

I didn't know this was a thing. Unfortunately it never released, but you can see it in action through an emulator in your browser: https://www.windows93.net/

There was a x86 emulator in Java that would run in a browser before NPAPI and Java were removed. I think I seen someone run 3.1 and VB 3.0 in it.

SOP and CORS is the only limitation now days for JS because of IPC and JIT optimization. People run Tensorflow on big datasets in v8. I've made a lot of SaaS stuff using it; especially since websocket and canvas

Parody.
"Windows 93[1][2][3] (often stylised as WINDOWS93) is a website stylised to look and work as an operating system,[4] often called a Web OS, and a parody of the Windows 9x series. It was developed and is managed by two French musicians and programmers who go by the handles jankenpopp and Zombectro. The site features several web applications which reference and feature Internet memes from the late 1990s and early 2000s."

How is a OS in a browser related to a OS in a browser? I also don't get it...

I admit I didn't really include or factor the shoehorn comedic aspect of it, though.. No offense to anyone, but nobody should have to work that hard to come off as funny or to prove they have a personality.. Yikes
