Drag N Drop question..

I have a form with multiple buttons.

I want to allow the user to move these buttons the way they see fit (e.g. alphabetically)

While I can create the Drag'N'Drop procedure... how can I assure that the user moves the
button into a pre-defined 'slot', so that the ending form looks correct and professional?

Possibly a hidden grid, so that when the user drags the button to a new location it snaps into place?

I doubt if there are any examples, but any assistance would help
