Looks like the USA... she was probably just returning to the house to get her AK47.
Tiddles will be on the next edition of Exploding Varmints.

These are gophers.

As you can see, these are old videos. If you film something like that nowadays, there's a shitstorm.
It's like the old Bond films where they shoot real birds.

The ballistic aspect surprises me in the hunt video. Sure it is an old movie. But, excepted the ballistic aspect, if the animal looses immediatly its head (by exploding), it does not suffer. And I agree with the fact this choice (of hunt, head targetted) is really better than poison.

For the cat, I follow the opinion of the.weavster. Not for the AK47 especially, but this animal has a very big problem. I do not know the problem root, but this cat should not stay alive. It does not attack to defend anything...

Because it was defending itself against a woman who was provoking it, when it wasn't even on her property?

Wrong country.
AR-15.
Killing or harming animals for sport is abhorrent and should not be promoted.
End rant.

I think we are all agree with this notion of negative sport.

For the 1st video, nothing tells us the cat is dead after this event, from this initial event to the effect of being killed for this initial event. We do not know the contexts, before and after. For example, a "female cat" which had just lost his "babies", before.

But there are others initial ways : for example, a disease of its (his or her) brain, due to a biologic contamination. I have in mind the toxoplasmosis. In this way, the cat must be immediatly nested in a box and treated very quickly against this disease, else this cat could be a real biologic weapon, which kills, without fiction. Without way to nest the cat in a box, knowing rightly the real behaviours of an affected entity by toxoplasmosis, the cat should be immediately killed.

For the gophers on the 2nd video, we can read the old dates in 1995. We can see the light laugh and several eases which does not exist anymore in the USA. Also, the hunter talks about live stock problems, about crop problem, and about authorities which give a certificate to hunt. It is not a sport, and if it was a sport, it was a sport near 30 years ago. A sport which is not one actually. I do not think, 30 years later, so now, the authors of this video are writing the 20th part of the serie << vermints explode >>.

I think we are all agree, and we are all analyzing with the same strong bases.

The cat needs no analysis. Kick enough snow at any cat and you'll eventually get the same reaction this woman got. It's perfectly normal.

The exploding varmints video is entirely off-topic for this thread, it could have been posted in its own topic instead of hijacking mine with it.

Or killing them with so much passion and in a over the top way for any reason. Personally I would gladly rip the balls of that idiot.

The video about the cat was pretty amusing, I like how it committed itself when it had enough.

Hello netmaestro,

a cat is not weak on the basis. But we could think the snowed environment creates a confinement which could do it weak (as paralysed).

Exactly as a drowning victim, who will kill his rescuer, by a loss of control, in a environment, where the calm is the way of saving.

And a cat is very powerful to learn. A cat can leave a home what it never left, and jump in the "vacuum" at the heights one thausand times the highest height it never jumped before !

He can hear the mouse brain accoustic frequencies through ten centimeters of ground and calmly follow on the grass the undergrounded mouse he will eat, when the mouse will reach the view of the sky.

He can reproduce itself, and its future generations can suffer with poisons, with too quick cars, with electric energy, and others tools the humankind created. They can suffer too, due to the fox which cuts them in two parts to eat them.

So, netmaestro, in adding of my two first hypothesis I said (mother instinct, and disease), I can add a third idea :

maybe this cat had everything I have had told above in its instinctive mind !

Falling cat (1894)
Slow motion flipping cat

Hello Luis,

I think the atmosphere "advertisement for shampoo" lightly shifted and starting on 2'10" has brought you anything to forge your opinion.
This man misses certainly, if actually it exists, for example, any palatable and contraceptive products whom the price prevents him to hunt in a less expensive cost. What I doubt...

Who is really guilty ?

I find him bad, for sure, due to his too low ballistic which let a place of suffering. But the innocent persons which innocently feed them 100 years earlier, as all wild animal can be fed, these persons are not better. The bromides usage is famous for the soldiers of WW1. However the prices of such products have not go down as lots of products, at the same scale as a random access memory bank...

Also, soja, you can bet for it, or against it.
(even if a person per 20 died by hungry)
Rice, you can bet for it, or against it.
(even if a person per 20 died by hungry)
Gold, you can bet for it, or against it.
And, bromides ? Can you bet for it ?

You're very territorial over a lighthearted thread 😂

There's a lot of sentimentality above about not shooting animals but even being vegan won't help you because even arable farmers do it. My eldest son is an agricultural engineer and on the farms he works for shooting muntjacs*, rabbits, etc... is quite routine.

* autocorrect suggests this should be Mutants which is quite funny in context.
