Will PB be available for ...
Re: Will PB be available for ...
I have a question for you, how much memory is 2 qubits in terms of bytes?
Re: Will PB be available for ...
As long it runs Windows x64, no problem
Re: Will PB be available for ...
Very cheap

Never ever.
But Qinux should be fine too

It has nothing to do with memory.jack wrote: Wed May 24, 2023 4:20 pm I have a question for you, how much memory is 2 qubits in terms of bytes?
It's more comparable with 32 or 64bit of CPU's.
But the main point is that one qbit can not only represent 1 or 0,
it can be all from 0 to 1 so it is an analog bit
The current record is hold by IBM:

How do they cool these down to the temperatures required for their operation? I thought 99% of the reason it's infeasible for anyone to have a quantum computer is due to the cooling requirements and that whole vacuum thing.

There are different methods of getting qbits.
At the moment you can get also up to 6 qbits in silicon:

For such type of qbits you don't need extrem cooling down to near zero K.
