Editor gadget, block symbols in monospace fonts

Strange behaviour of block symbols in editor gadget.
User writes:

Why do some characters (namely these symbols: ▀, █ and ►) look shorter and wider in the new version?

This issue seems to have come up with the new msftedit.dll
Is it a Microsoft issue?

Yes, we switched from RICHEDIT2.0.dll (which is old and no more supported) to MSFTEDIT.DLL in 5.73 and it makes this happen. It's raw API here, so it looks like a Windows thing.
