A game! It's fun to make and will teach you a lot about the language

Hangman and mastermind/codebreaker are fun games to make

If someone wants to join our company, they have to program a calculator in PB.
Only +,-,*and /

This is doable in a few hours and you will get the knowledge of event handling in PB.

Or, a simple image viewer.

Hi! Any ideas on a simple project to get started for someone who's familiar with programming but entirely unfamiliar with PureBasic?
  • Learn to manage graphics: Image viewer and editor, clock ?
  • Learn sound: Media player ?
  • Learn sprites: space invader, PacMan ?
  • Learn databases (ie: SQLite): Address book, Personal account manager ?
  • Learn drag and drop: Program launcher ?
All of this can be done with PB internal functions!

Some examples of what I did with PureBasic (just to learn and keep my mind busy)
All graphical interfaces are realized with the internal form designer (the largest program contains 28 windows)

It's a shame he abandoned PureBasic - his videos were great!

I also had an idea to make a video. This is a video ad for keyword auto-completion. If you download (10 MB), the quality will be better than in the browser.

It is now, but it worked yesterday (I started watching it but it was in Russian, so I stopped). Weird that it's been taken down so quickly.
