Hello Fred and all users,
I suggest to have a Sticky- Roadmap of PureBasic in the General Forum.
Not one with dates and so, but one with all in there to see what is planned for the future and maybe with which PB versions number.
Surely other users like to see it too, special the ones that create add-on sort of things for PureBasic.
I discover myself more and more work with other programming languages than PureBasic, because of the uncertainty when missing things are coming ( ...if they are coming ).
PureBasic Roadmap...
PureBasic Roadmap...
I am to provide the public with beneficial shocks.

i'm not sure about that. It may also result in more people buying PB, because they can see features which are still missing are under development. Such a roadmap would be more an advertisement aimed at future PB customers than a help for competitors, i think. After all, many of the future plans of Fred are hidden in various posts among the forums, and can be found by anyone. So, a "roadmap" like fsw proposed would be kind of a compilation of these posts.
(And, of course, we all know there is no real competition for Fred's PB besides the more game-related languages
)

I'm with Inner on this one..
I think that having such a roadmap would prove better PR for PB...
And additionally, it would give registered users a pointer to what's going to happen in the future... (and that's a good thing
)
I don't believe that it would be any competitive drawback, based on a couple of things.. For one, if Fred has allready implemented a feature mentioned in the roadmap, then I wouldn't deny any other language to implement this feature as well... It's not like Fred's gonna give away the tech&specs (or source)... And besides, PB has allready got this feature..
..
Another thing would be if Fred mentions a feature that is going to be implemented in PB... I still don't think Fred's gonna give away the secrets to how this is done... And if another language decides to implement it; go ahead... PB's still going to have it..
Anyways... those are some of my thoughts on the subject.. plz flame me now..
