So here's my answer : because for years coders have used automatic coding tools that produces a lot of junk. As they were encouraged by the electronic industry to sell their products, it has never stopped. And it will continue, as long as the ressources seems abundant and cheap. When you see big updates, huge software without much data associated, video, music, pictures, chances are that the code is ugly and not polished. It could be fun, OK, but it's not elegant.
So, be happy to have a compiler that gives you control and power to be a good programmer, and if you're using this kind of tool, don't forget that coding, as any human activity, could be an Art.
