Please Help Me

Post by Ralf »

Damn! Me deleted the wrong directory where i stored some very important privat stuff like my complete outlook database (emails) and cleaned the trashcan on desktop ;(

I noticed it when it was to late! Can someone help me to restore the outlook2000 datafile (*.pst !?) - I found some undelete tools on web, but all are limited to max 64 kb files... My Outlook database has some MB!

If someone know a way or freeware tool to recover my deleted file, please help me and give me a link where i can download the tool!

I use and recommend PC Inspector File Recovery (freeware):

http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htm

However, if you install it on the same drive as where your Outlook file
was, then you may lose it... try to install and run it on another drive.
If you don't have another drive, try to get a friend with a spare drive
to bring it to your house, or take your drive to his and get him to install
the app on his PC. Try not to use the PC with the "lost" file too much in
the meantime too -- every bit of disk activity makes recovering the file
a little less likely...

Thanks for your fast help guys. Not sure if the restored file is the latest version and complete without errors. Will check it out later.
