Well...I think I'll make the project available for download this time.
Might make things a bit simpler.

nice demo, even i see the meaning as the Liberty in the age of atomic bombs and mass destruction. it runs okay on winxp/32 the graphics and the sound.
i also have tried it in a recently installed ubuntu x64 v14.04.3 on a cheap labtop (asus x553ma celeron N2840), the quality of the example graphics are better than in windows,and better than this screen print

but the sound does not run (in ubuntu only) until i copied the .wav file to the same folder as the code and changing line 74 to
sn = LoadSound(#PB_Any, "waterfront.wav")
then the sound works.
it loads the sound from the same folder whether or not we add
Add3DArchive(".", #PB_3DArchive_FileSystem)
