Opening forums links in new tab

Post by GeoTrail »

How about adding feature to the forum so that we can open external links in a new tab/window by default?
Often I forget to hold down CTRL and, well, I'm lazy ;)

Maybe the middle mouse button will work for you

Yep, I've been middle-mousing for years with Firefox. It should be the default for web browsers anyway, because clicking the back button is hardly instant these days anymore due to pages being non-static 99% of the time. So by opening in new tabs, you can always "go back" without reloading the previous page.

I mostly use my new Surface Pro 4 with my Surface Arc Touch Mouse, which don't have a middle button. Only has an haptic middle scroll thingy.

If right-clicking and selecting Open in new tab is still too arduous, simply drag the link onto a new tab.

That's a lot of work. Getting tired just thinking about it ;)

Just use the right Browser with Mous-Gestures: ;)
Opera or Vivaldi (the inofficial Opera-Sequel).

Right-Click on the Link and move Mouse down to open in new Tap.
Right-Click in Browser Window and move Mouse left or right, to navigate back or forth.
Life could be so easy with the right Browser. ;-)
[Dynamic-Dialogs] - create complex GUIs the easy way
[DeFlicker] - easily deflicker your resizeable Windows
[WinFX] - Window Effects (incl. 'click-through' Window)
