What distro/wm do you use for PB?

Post by Julian »

Hi,

I would like to test my PB code cross platform. I have a Mac so I'm ok for the latest releases of OSX and all varieties of windows (vmware) but I've not used linux in around 15 years and have no idea what flavour of linux the cool kids are using these days :)

Could you let me know what distribution and what window manager (if there are multiple on your distribution) you're using so I can get a feel for what I should be testing on?

Many thanks in advance,

Julian

Have a look at distrowatch.com. Best is to test some Live-Distributionen from CD/DVD or USB-Stick.

My suggest are: Ubuntu-Mate, Linux-Mint (Cinnamon) or Ubuntu-Gnome.
But a look on Fedora, OpenSUSE or Mageia cannot damage.

Install of PB is no problem at all.

Old bugs good, new bugs bad! Updates are evil: might fix old bugs and introduce no new ones.
