I needed a break from my game development and made
this nonsense project in a jiffy to change the scenery.
It's a small diner called Charlie's Diner. Old tunes are played and the group singing is showed on a tv.
Nothing special. Some 3D models, clouds and a moody atmosphere.
You may experience some slowdowns when walking towards the diner due to the fact, that the
3D objects (diner) isn't optimized. the entire thing is approx 22 mb incl code.
Project will be available until thursday and then removed.
*gone*
The diner

that depends on the view point of the watcher, a room in the mid of a 20km radius empty plain, a starry night, this is a surreal art scene.
a possible additions is the music heard from a far have a low volume with a slight echo, and the music will be louder and louder when we walk toward the diner. and on one table there is a teacup and the vapor are emanating from it
certainly a relaxing scene and music have the same effect like visiting a village in this noisy world with too much buildings and streets. thanks

@applePi
I've added a couple of steaming cups and a simple distance sound calculation.
Just replace the code in the project with this one.

Code: Select all
removed - code useless without the project.

Re: The diner
Why you´re not using the Sound3D-lib? Special reason or just for fun?simple distance sound calculation

I don't use the sound3D myself, since I can (edit) 'every time' make PB produce an IMA on exit.
(see here: http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtop ... it=Sound3D)
Since I'm the only one experiencing the problem I tend to shy away from the Sound3D lib....(For now).
Anyway, this is a simpel BS project, which has no real value for me. Feel free to use the Sound3D yourself, though.
Once in a while, I do something weird, when I need a break from what I'm really doing and the results are something
like 'The diner' or like the 'timeout' project I'm doing now - 'Island in a bowl".
Best regards
Peter
