SQLite upgrade to V3.8.8.3

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

SQLite upgrade to V3.8.8.3

Post by StarBootics »

Hello everyone,

Apparently the SQLite database version present in PureBasic 5.31 is V3.7.15.2 released 2013-01-09. More than 2 years ago.
If it's not a big deal an upgrade to V3.8.8.3 (released today) for the next PB version will be appreciated.

Best regards

Perhaps I am asking insane questions, but how hard would it be to implement in new versions of PB option to "embed" precompiled libraries such as the one for SQLite, and perhaps those for JPEG/PNG or other available libraries?

Taken into consideration ability to use "subsystems", how difficult would it be to "open" PB to users who would like to upgrade such libraries but to maintain compatibility with PB syntax?

+1;

Maybe have a "updated files"? so a library could be updated and released w/o forcing a full test pass on PB itself?
