Kids React To Old Computers
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories.
Re: Kids React To Old Computers
My first appleII with 4K RAM was top that days ...
It cost me > 3000,00 Euro for a starter configuration.
after few mounts I started to extra RAM, second floppy, I/O cards, serial card, printer card, prototype cards, ...
dot matrix printer / one page per minute
All these cost me another 2500,00 euro
But it was really fun that days ...
And BASIC in ROM memory and very fast startup.
I must have them (I had 2 appleII computers) some ware in a box ??
Children this days do not know what computers day have to play with.

Re: Kids React To Old Computers
I've watched some of these in the past, where they had a C64.
These things are both hilarious and seriously demoralizing at the same time.. I mean really? When I was a kid, I figured shit the fuck out for myself. I was proud of the fact I had built my first 286 by cannibalizing three of them to make one good one. I learned DOS with some basic help from my Mom (who used it at work).. I loved my C64, IBM PCJr, etc..
Figuring it out just came natural to me... maybe I was just smart, I dunno.

You must be doing a conversion for us, marc_256? Apple ][ was introduced in 1977, the euro in 1999.

Grandpa talking about his first Apple ][ and C64, while grandchild plays with latest holographic displays, coming with iPad X and Google/Asus Nexus 2025.
