Strange things going on with desktop short-cuts. Initially, the short-cut has the correct icon image, as gleaned by the OS from the app exe. After a few days though, the short-cut remains but the icon image is lost. I had assumed that it was an issue on my PC - but it's the same issue on 4 PC's tested now (not all in the same location), WinXP[x86]/7[x64]/8[x64]/8.1[x64]. All apps are 32bit. The issue only occurs with apps compiled with PB 5.11 through to PB5.21LTS. All apps compiled with PB4.60 are 100% fine on the same machines (That is the same apps [obviously updated] using exactly the same icons as before [not changed]).
So, multi-million dollar question is ~ has something changed under the compiler hood that could have inadvertently had an effect on icons? Perhaps, somehow, the icon images are corrupted?
