Don't double post

I didn't double post. I removed the old post in the old thread, and created a new thread.

just because you don't like what people respond to your posts.

The replies were all offtopic.

And you should not lock a thread prematurely, just because you are expecting a reply that you probably would not like.
And especially you are not entitled to edit content written by other people without their permission

Splitting topics in case they are going off topic is the job of the moderators, not yours. If you wish a topic to be split, contact a moderator about it. They will decide if the posts are really off topic and act accordingly. Moderating the forum is not your job!

I locked the second thread to force discussion to continue in the first one. This is the problem that happens if you create separate topics like you did: The discussion continues in both topic with people posting the same information back and forth between them.

Actually, unlike you I am a moderator and in fact am allowed to do that for moderation purposes. I restored a post you vandalized. By removing it you made the entire first thread nonsense.

This forum is a place for discussion. If you make a post, people are allowed to respond to it as they like. It is not up to you to decide which posts are acceptable in your thread. You don't own it. If everybody acted like you just did, then this forum would be a mess of unreadable half threads. If you don't want responses to your posts then don't post. Its that simple.

Leave the moderating to the actual moderators!

Actually I just saw that you again removed the first topic of the first thread. I am going to lock that one as well as it really doesn't make sense anymore. And don't even think about creating a third one.

Consider this your first warning: Keep this up and I will consider a temporary ban.

I removed my post from the first thread, so that it only contained post about the new topic. And I changed the thread title according to the new topic. Then I created a new thread with my original title and original post. Both topics and both threads were clearly separated from each other.

I did not make the entire first thread nonsense. I removed my post from the first thread, so that it only contained post about the new topic. And I changed the thread title according to the new topic.
I have edited the text which I had written previously. This has nothing got to do with "vandalized". In contrast, you are not entitled to edit text written by me! This has nothing got to do with being a moderator, administrator or whatever. It is just a matter of course and common sense among serious grown up people not to do so, and this is not debatable.

If you don't want responses to your posts then don't post. Its that simple.

Why should I think about creating a third one. Do you believe I've nothing else got to do but playing "games" with you?
When I created the second thread I did not even imagine that that will be a problem (for you). As I wrote above, both threads were clearly separated from each other. The problems began when you edited my post and locked a thread. Instead of doing so, I wish you would have reacted in a more civilized way.

Actually, my first instinct was to to try to find out what was wrong with the forum database after reopening a thread I previously posted in and discovering that all answers were gone (turns out this was your second thread, but there was no indication from either the title or content).

And for the first thread: A thread that begins with a response to a now removed post is nonsense. It has no context anymore. Once again: If everybody did this when they don't like the responses they get, the forum would be an unreadable mess.
