Close 'x' button in tab

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

Close 'x' button in tab

Post by WilliamL »

I sorry if this has be addressed before. I think I remember reading a similar comment somewhere but I can't find it so I'm posting my request here.

The 'Display close button in each tab' is very nice but I keep hitting the 'x' when trying to change tabs. How about when un-checking 'Display close button in each tab' the 'x' could go back to the top right position like it was in the earlier version?

At the moment you can close a tab (if you have disabled the close-X) with middle mouse click on the tab.

I don't have a middle-mouse on my MacBookPro (laptop) but I've been using the menu command of 'Close' for the selected tab and it will just close that tab. Good tip though for those that do have a mouse with a center button.

An other Tip is: You can add the menu item "Close" as a tool bar icon (in the configuration of the IDE)

That works really well! I'll use that for now! :)

I guess I'd still ask for the 'x' to be returned to the original position when un-selecting 'Display close button in each tab'.
