Well, hello!

Post by Basti »

I don't know if I should clutter the forums up by doing this but I felt like introducing myself and throwing in a little "Hello!" here.

My name is Sebastian and I was part of this community ages ago (or at least it feels like ages). I have since been working at different projects and the past few years I was working for Infineon (now Intel) as a database developer (using Python). In 2012 I have been co-founder of a small software company and we've composed a team to develop a 2D platforming game (which will hopefully be funded by Kickstarter). When searching for the technology we'd use I remembered about PureBasic and after evaluating all of our options PureBasic came out as the tool we'd use.

So wait a minute:

1. get PureBasic licence? Check!
2. Introduce myself to the community? Check!
3....

4. Profit :)

Anyways, I hope I'll get along well with all of you and I'll try to not only absorb knowledge from this forums but to also give back a little bit as I'm re-learning the ins and outs of PureBasic.

Welcome back. What was your user name here before?
Microsoft Visual Basic only lasted 7 short years: 1991 to 1998.
PureBasic: Born in 1998 and still going strong to this very day!

Hi Basti,

It's great to know that you will use PureBasic to develop your game especially when you have other great products to choose from, so this really says alot about PB.

I'm slowly getting around to my hobby FPS title with PureBasic, more games are definately needed.
