Help setting Gnome classic(no effects) as default desktop

Post by Zebuddi123 »

Could some kind soul help me in setting Gnome classic(no effects) as default desktop in ubuntu 12.10 instead of going through " not listed " and selecting Gnome classic(no effects) as the current session

Thanks Zebuddi. :D

in 12.10 go to the app centre type in Gnome Shell
choose it install it
log out
on the log in window click the gear icon
choose Gnome Shell classic
click OK
log in

then it should remember

if you installed the shell via the torrent perhaps it's not compatible
Windows 11, Manjaro, Raspberry Pi OS
