It's been quite a challenge. Just a few keywords: surround sound, subwoofers, case modding, media players, transcoding, DLNA, codecs, services, e-books, TVersity, Serviio, iPad, Android, Calibre, SqueezeBox, psexec, taskkill, runassvc, netcat, and more. I had to fool around with telnet, RDP, firewall, task scheduler, port forwarding, and a zillion other things. I almost wished I had a Mac, but then, where's the fun in that?
I documented most of it for my own use, but perhaps it might be of some use to someone else.
